My HP 7210 All-In-One fax machine copies & sends faxes, but received faxes only have dots and lines. Help? - send test fax my machine

I tested another fax machine, and the results were the same. The ink cartridge is fairly new.

    can remove and reinstall the driver. or, better yet, you can click on hp.com and download the driver from there. at least you know that you have the latest version, and correct for the device. This link takes you to where you will find the HP driver. Once you install the new driver, you can switch off the device before the test and start over again.
